Sprite

What is a sprite?
A small graphic that can be moved independently around the screen producing animated affects.[1]
What are sprites for?
Sprites are used for various things, but are primarily used in video games, specifically earlier ones. Pong is an excellent example of a game that uses sprites. In Pong, the paddles and the ball are sprites. Most sprite games aren't this simple and use hundreds of sprites, however, and actually appear to be animated really well.

Game Programmers

Game Programmers are people who design and program games for personal or for everyone's use. People make games for entertainment. Their salary range from $50,000 their first year to $56,000 for lead programmers, or if they have between 3 and 6 years of experience their salary can be up to $66,000, and for 6 years of experience and more, up to $86,000.

Genre

In contrast to movies and books, defining video games by genre is very difficult, and there is a significant amount of debate, as each video game is designed to be unique and not stereotypical at all. Often, a game throws away its genre's defining features, making it extremely difficult to categorize it.[3]
